What is Executive Order 11 and how can Community Cartridge help?

On Earth Day – April 22, 2006, then New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine signed a new law into effect. This law – “Executive Order 11” was implemented to help promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental protection in the state of New Jersey. This new law will help protect our environment as well as the 127 miles of beautiful beaches along the coastline of our home state. In summary, all New Jersey government offices are now required to use remanufactured materials and products in EVERY aspect of business they do – this includes schools, municipalities, police stations, and government offices.  New Jersey is the first state in our country to implement this type of order.

*Spread the word – Community Cartridge can help! We specialize in remanufactured ink and toner cartridges – our customers can purchase remanufactured replacement cartridges for their printers, faxes, copiers, and yes, even postage meters.

New Jersey is a national leader in promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental protection and is dedicated to reducing energy usage, which decreases emissions of greenhouse gasses and improves the health and welfare of the State’s citizens. Executive Order 11 is effective immediately and full details can be seen here: http://www.state.nj.us/infobank/circular/eojsc11.htm

Remember – every government agency must use remanufactured and refillable ink and toner cartridges – if every non-government agency and individual follows suit, it can only mean better things for the preservation of our beautiful state.
